SHELL AUSTRALIA - mackay
An EPCM project at Shell Australia Mackay. Construction of two Mega litre diesel tanks over a 12-month contract.
As Construction Manager of the new Shell diesel bulk storage tanks combination of all HSEQ elements was key to success for Transfield and Shell’s expectations.
- Management of 5 construction teams disciplines: –
- Team 1 Civil construction for tank pad construction & bund walls
- Team 2 Structural tank building – Strake tank construction and Tank roof – 50 boilermakers & pipe welders – Establishing field procedures and QA objectives.
- Team 3 Electrical & Instrumentation construction contractor
- Team 4 mechanical & structural engineering team
- Team 5 Emergency services construction team – fire protection systems, water storage tanks and back up fire suppression systems
- Providing monthly contract reports to Shell’s steering committee outlining safety stats, cost, schedule and improvements
- Ultimately engaging with all major regulatory authorities and indirect business units such as NQBP, BP, Mackay city council, DERM, the local enforcement agency and rescue authorities.
ORIGIN energy - HARTOGEN gas
Well head integrity maintenance project: – from concept through to the resource selection process and execution of the well head maintenance on the remote Origin sites in western Queensland –Talinga and Spring Gully.
Electrical & instrumentation project management & supervision of a condensate gas upgrade at Kincora gas site via Roma.
